Kim Finnilä is Assistant Reporter General in FICPI's Study & Work Commission (CET).
Kim is an experienced attorney with extensive knowledge of IP on an international level. He is primarily focused on technologies related to mechanics. He is an expert in patent disputes and has been responsible for patent litigation in Europe for years.
He also has in-depth knowledge of route selection at the protection stage of the patenting process (national patents, European patents, PCT and PPH) and the significance of these choices in business and patent portfolio management.
Kim has been closely involved in the development of the European patent system since the mid-1990s. He is a well-known and active influencer in domestic and international associations and organisations in the IP sector. He has vast experience of chairing such organisations as well as holding other leadership and committee positions.
