Julian Crump is a partner in the firm Abel & Imray, which has offices in London, Cardiff, Bath and Spain. He is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney with more than 30 years’ experience. Julian received an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and qualified in 1993. He is a recipient of CIPA’s Gill Prize for General Excellence in the qualifying examination and Ballantyne Prize for the highest marks in the Infringement & Validity paper.
Julian’s practice covers a wide range of technologies, with a focus on chemistry and life sciences. He has drafted and prosecuted many patent applications for a range of clients from individual inventors, SMEs and start-ups to large companies.
He served as Secretary General of FICPI from 2006-15 and is its current president.
