Alexander Esslinger is a German and European patent attorney at Betten & Resch in Munich. He served for 15 years (2000-2015) as Chairman of the FICPI working group dealing with software inventions. Alexander is author of several publications on IP topics and a frequent speaker at FICPI conferences (highlights: mock trial under CAFC Chief Judge Michel at the FICPI World Congress in Washington, D.C., June 2009; plenary presentation “AI in IP: How will Artificial Intelligence transform the practice of IP law?” at the FICPI World Congress in Toronto, June 2018).
